Luis Larrazabal

Luis was born in Caracas, Venezuela on October 10, 1992, and has been competing internationally for almost a decade.

In 2004, at the age of eleven, Luis was honored as the Most Popular Rider at the American Children’s Championship in Quito, Ecuador. He was also awarded Best in Style at the XVII Clasico Flor Isava horse show in Venezuela (an award he would again receive at various shows throughout Central and South America over the next four years).

In 2005, he won an Individual Bronze and a Team Bronze at the FEI Children’s International Jumping Finals in California. A year later, he won Gold at the FEI Children World Competition in Venezuela.

He has amassed an impressive list of Champion and Reserve Champion wins in circuits in Venezuela, Ecuador and Panama. He has also represented Venezuela in several Nations Cup and Championship classes in Chile, Panama and Guatemala.

Luis won the individual gold medal at the 2011 South American Young Rider Championships and plans to compete in this year’s North American Junior Young Rider Championships. He is currently a successful professional rider on the grand prix circuit and rides G&C Close Up.
