Mark Bluman was born in Medellin, Colombia on March 20, 1991. Bluman took his first riding lesson when he was three years old, and started showing when he turned eight.
Bluman was very successful during his child and junior career. He won the FEI Children’s Final in California in 2005 and the same year won the National Children’s Championship in Colombia. In 2008, Bluman won the Junior National Championship.
In December of 2009, Bluman decided to make his dream come true and moved to the United States. For the first four months he was a working student for Todd Minikus. There, he had the chance to compete for the first time in the Winter Equestrian Festival. In March of 2010, Bluman started working for G&C Farm and stayed there for one year. In the summer of 2011, while G&C Farm was competing in Europe, Bluman remained in the States and worked with his cousin, Daniel Bluman. In the winter of 2012, he returned to G&C Farm in Wellington and will continue the year as one of the farm’s primary riders with the horses G&C Con Air, G&C Blue, and G&C Big Brother.
